After a vacation detour sends them into Mabutts Valley, players must get their RV back to Route 65. Up to four people share the journey and the same vehicle, taking on different tasks along the way.
Players steer the RV over rough roads and obstacles, using front and rear winches, planks, and other found items to cross gaps or free the vehicle. They can also leave the RV to explore, collect supplies, and deal with hazards such as bears and snakes.
The group must keep the RV intact with repairs and manage useful supplies, including food, antidotes, and EpiPens. Checkpoints mark progress through the route, while the map records the path taken.
Many supplied reviewers describe the game as especially entertaining with friends, where coordinating around one RV turns difficult terrain, winch mishaps, repairs, and sudden dangers into shared comic chaos.
