In the post-disaster city of New Eridu, you play as a Proxy, a professional who guides Agents and others through dangerous Hollows—anomalous spaces filled with monsters called Ethereals. The story follows your work connecting the city with those who venture into the Hollows.
Take commissions, investigate areas, and move between New Eridu’s streets and the Hollows. Along the way, meet Agents and factions whose stories contribute to the wider mysteries surrounding the city.
Combat centers on a team of Agents: use basic and special attacks, dodge or block enemy strikes, switch teammates, and link attacks into Chain Attacks. Different enemies have different strengths and weaknesses, so timing and team choices shape each fight.

Zenless Zone Zero delivers smooth and exhilarating combat. Launch your offense with Basic Attacks and Special Attacks, counter enemy strikes through dodges and blocks, then string together flashy combos with Chain Attacks to finish them off. Different enemies have their own specialties and weaknesses — seizing the right opportunity and responding with precision is key to controlling the battle.
