SquareCells is a logic puzzle game in which you solve square grids by using their surrounding clues to reveal a hidden pattern.
Mark cells according to the clues, combining row and column information with extra restrictions on mine placements. The puzzles draw on picross-style logic with a minesweeper-like twist.
The game contains 36 puzzles. Some introduce rules about continuous mine groups or the totals and groups in rows and columns, adding new deductions as you progress.
Players often enjoy the carefully designed logic puzzles, describing the process of working out a solution as satisfying and absorbing. Reviews also mention the calm, minimalist presentation and the added grid rules as appealing features. Some players found the instructions or controls frustrating, and opinions differ on the difficulty and how SquareCells compares with the developer’s other puzzle games.
