You play as Abigail Blackwood, a young woman who awakens as a ghost decades after her death. In the abandoned village of Oakmarsh, she explores her family’s manor and surrounding grounds to discover what happened during the years she was gone.

This 2D point-and-click adventure takes you through more than 90 rooms across the manor, ruins, woods, caves and village. Abigail can pass through walls and possess objects, using them to interact with the environment and reach places she could not otherwise access.

Progress comes from exploring, solving puzzles and piecing together clues found in letters, notes and the surroundings. New powers and discoveries open up further areas, and the world can be revisited as you investigate different leads.

Players often praise the game’s gothic atmosphere, detailed art and soundtrack, along with its slowly unfolding mystery. Some enjoy the thoughtful, challenging puzzles and ghostly interaction mechanics, while others find the puzzles obscure and frustrating, especially with little guidance. The amount of reading and the need to revisit areas also draw criticism.
