You play as Bubsy, a bobcat trying to save Earth from the Woolies, aliens who want its supply of yarnballs. The collection includes two platform games presented as emulations of their SNES versions.
Run, jump, avoid hazards, and fight enemies across the first game's levels. In Bubsy II, explore the Amazatorium, use gadgets such as a toy bazooka and smart bomb, and travel between worlds with Bubsy's portable hole.
Bubsy II lets you choose between a best-time or high-score goal and supports local co-op and competitive play. Both games include save slots, and the emulator can be paused to save or load at a chosen point.
Reviews often describe the games as punishing, with confusing or unfair level design, and some criticize the collection for offering little beyond emulation. Others appreciate its nostalgic appeal, retro presentation, or Bubsy's oddball humor, though reactions are mixed.
