Set in a psychiatric institution in Italy in the first half of the 20th century, the game follows Renée, a 16-year-old whose life is shaped by her confinement there. The first-person story draws on real events and a meticulously reconstructed place.
Explore the institution and its surroundings, interacting with objects and finding documents and photographs that reveal parts of Renée’s history. Her memories emerge in fragments as you move through the environment.
At certain points, choices shape how Renée interprets her recollections, and the story develops in different ways. The experience focuses on exploration and narrative rather than combat or supernatural threats.

The Town of Light is a psychological adventure told in the first person. The story is set in Italy in the first half of the 20th Century in a place which really existed and has been meticulously reconstructed. Exploring and interacting with the environment you will relive the history of the main character through her confused viewpoint and on the basis of your choices, the story will develop in different ways.
