DEMØNS GATE & Paintball Ops

From the Devs

This game is a tactical SRPG with a strong emphasis on strategy and storytelling.

A 2D grid system is embedded into beautiful single-piece maps, where range, character traits, and terrain interact in deeply intricate tactical layers.

Lead your companions, raise your favorite characters, and experience battles unfolding across an unknown continent — alongside a story that probes the very foundation of the world itself.

● Wait — it's free?

Yes. The full main story is playable to the ending completely free. Paid DLC expansion packs are available separately, all priced at ¥800 each.

Built around the concept of "we want as many people as possible to enjoy this for free," the entire main game can be played through to its ending at no cost.

Savor an indie title with 100+ hours of content at a budget price.

● Tactical balance — don't let the 2D look fool you

Behind the simple 2D grid appearance lies a deeply strategic system where turn order, range, terrain, and character traits weave into intricate tactical depth.

"Looks light, plays heavy" — this gap is one of the title's biggest draws.

● Combat supervised by a 20-year paintball/airsoft veteran — "combat feel you can trust"

The bundled "Paintball Ops" is the other major centerpiece of this title.

Real-time combat, advanced strategy AI, character growth, line-of-fire management, cover, and positioning are all translated into SRPG terms — building "the tension of a real firefight" as a tactical game system.

Even experienced players will say "I get this — this is a genuine paintball/airsoft simulator."

● Raise 100+ characters with the Dispatch System

Companions keep growing in number, and not a single one goes to waste.

Run multiple squads simultaneously — frontline forces clearing story missions, and fully-automated dispatched units gathering resources — so every character you raise has a place to shine.

● A philosophical and epic story exploring the principles of the world

Not just another war saga.

The structure of reality, the nature of existence, the workings of cause and effect — the story gradually probes "the essence of the world."

Earth's history, the Demon Realm's history, the truth of alternate and parallel worlds — and the "DEMØNS GATE" that connects them all — together tackle these deep themes head-on.

● Story unfolds at your pace, expanding into new worlds

Story progress is quest-based — advance whenever you like. You can also unlock new content through the dispatch system!

DEMØNS GATE delivers the thrill of charting "new worlds" through turn-based maps and scenarios.

Paintball Ops lets you enjoy matches and conversations with various teams across fields scattered through Kanto (including some real-world locations).

● Story

Summer of 2014. This is the history of another world that once existed. A massive pentagram suddenly appears in the skies above Tokyo.

The incident vanishes uneventfully within five days, and as half a year passes and people begin to forget...

...the world is, in fact, on the brink of a profound transformation. The first title in the "DEMØNS GATE" series.
