Starting in 1850, you build and manage a transport company by placing stations, stops, harbors, and airports, then connecting towns and industries with routes.
Carry passengers and freight using trains, buses, trams, trucks, ships, and aircraft. Match transport capacity to demand, connect industries into cargo chains, and earn money while your services help cities grow.
Play an open-ended game on randomly generated, modifiable terrain or tackle American and European campaigns made up of historical missions. Over more than 150 years of transport history, newer vehicles become available as you expand and refine your network.
Players who enjoy the game often praise the planning involved in building transport networks and making routes profitable, along with the satisfaction of seeing cities grow. Vehicle variety, progression through different eras, and the freedom to experiment in open play also recur as appealing features. Some reviewers find the systems difficult to learn or frustrating to manage.
