The Developer Says...

Survive the Neon Horde

Noxon is a first-person arena shooter built around one idea: movement is survival. Dive into a pitch-black arena where everything glows, enemies swarm from every direction, and the only thing keeping you alive is your momentum.

Inspired by the visual chaos of Geometry Wars and the movement depth of Quake, Noxon rewards players who master the air.

Movement Is Your Greatest Weapon

This isn't a stand-and-shoot game. Every mechanic chains into the next:

  • Bunny hop & air strafe - Quake-style acceleration. The better you strafe, the faster you go.

  • Wall jump & wall slide - Touch a wall to reset your double jump, then launch off for a dash reset.

  • Grappling hook - Swing like a pendulum with fixed rope physics. Boost mid-swing with your dash for insane speed.

  • Dash system - Tap for an instant impulse that cancels opposing momentum. Hold for sustained nitro thrust. Works inside grapple.

  • Double jump - With a horizontal boost in your aim direction.

Every ability feeds into the next. Wall slide resets your double jump. Wall jump resets your dash. Grapple preserves your entry speed. The skill ceiling is the sky - literally.

Three Weapons, Zero Unlocks

All weapons available from the start. No grinding, no builds - just skill.

  • Machine Gun - Sustained DPS + Grapple Hook secondary

  • Precision Rifle - High-damage single shots + Blink Teleport secondary

  • Rocket Launcher - AoE explosions + Rocket Jump secondary

Each weapon's secondary doubles as a movement tool. Switch weapons to switch your traversal style.

A Living Arena

The arena doesn't stay the same. Every minutes, a new event reshapes randomly the battlefield:

11 Enemy Types

Enemies unlock progressively as you survive longer. Each type demands a different response:

  • Grunts chase you down. Wanderers roam unpredictably.

  • Pinwheels dodge your projectiles. Spinners charge at blistering speed.

  • Snakes hunt in segmented chains - kill the head, kill the whole snake.

  • Multipliers split into smaller enemies on death.

  • Black Holes pull everything toward them - including you, your enemies, and your projectiles. When they die, everything nearby goes with them.

Score Chase

Geometry Wars-style kill multiplier: x1 to x10, reset on death. Every kill matters. Every death costs you. Compete on the leaderboard - climb the ranks, push your high score.

Multiplayer

Survive together or compete for the highest score. Multiplayer support lets you share the neon chaos with friends.

Pure Neon Aesthetic

No textures. No skybox. Just black void, emissive glow, and additive bloom.

  • The arena grid reacts to everything - footsteps, projectiles, explosions, grapple hooks

  • Enemies glow in distinct colors so you can read the swarm at a glance

  • Every bullet leaves a trail echo on the grid. Every death sends a shockwave of light.

  • Structures shimmer into existence with proximity-based illumination

Early Access

Noxon is in Early Access. The core gameplay loop - movement, combat, enemies, dynamic arena - is fully playable. We're actively developing new content, balancing weapons and enemies, and building toward the full release based on player feedback.

Your input shapes the game. Jump in, push the movement system to its limits, and tell us what you want to see next.
