Lobotomy

From the Devs

Inspired by true events and the chilling history of mid-20th-century psychiatric practices.

Lobotomy is a first-person psychological horror experience that plunges you into the heart of a derelict psychiatric facility. You play as James, a freelance journalist driven by a tip from his colleague, William, to uncover the inhumane medical experiments conducted within the asylum’s rusted walls.

The Story

Under the cover of night, James infiltrates the notorious "Lobotomy" facility. What started as a quest for the story of a lifetime quickly turns into a suffocating nightmare. As you navigate through the decaying hallways and locked wards, you realize the building isn’t as empty as the legends claim. Every flickering light hides a threat, and every shadow whispers a warning. You aren't just looking for a story anymore—you’re looking for a way out.

Gameplay & Atmosphere

Armed only with your camera and a flashlight, you must document the horrors of the past. The facility’s dark history is told through the environment—blood-stained operating rooms, abandoned control panels, and the echoes of patients long forgotten. In Lobotomy, you are not a fighter; your only weapons are your senses and your will to survive.

Key Features:

• Immersive Bodycam Perspective: Experience the horror through a gritty, realistic lens that blurs the line between game and reality, heightening the sense of claustrophobia.

• Narrative-Driven Exploration: Uncover the disturbing truth behind the facility's illegal experiments through hidden files and haunting atmosphere.

• Tactile Interaction: Engage with the environment using retro control panels and ancient security systems. Solve mechanical puzzles to unlock restricted wings of the asylum.

• Found Footage Aesthetic: Use your camera to document evidence. The narrow field of view and camera distortions create a constant state of psychological tension.
