The Dweller is a puzzle game where you play as the MONSTER! It's time to get rid of all those pesky archaeologists snooping around in your lair. SCARE them, CRUSH them, DEVOUR them! ELIMINATE THE INTRUDERS!

You play as an ancient monster awakened by archaeologists exploring an underground ruin. In each level, your goal is to eliminate or scare away the intruders in the place you call home.
Your movement is confined to cave rock, so crossing open spaces means possessing and shifting boulders. Plan routes through each 2D level and use the stones, gravity, and later mechanics such as teleportation to reach the archaeologists or set up ways to drive them off.
The game has a non-linear level map and more than 50 levels. New mechanics are introduced as you progress, and completing levels unlocks written notes that gradually reveal the story behind the ruins.
Players who enjoy The Dweller often praise its compact, challenging puzzles and the unusual fun of playing the monster rather than the intruders. Some also appreciate the dark humor and story notes. Other reviewers find the puzzles repetitive or difficult, and a few report bugs or crashes.
