You play as Canny, a small robot who awakens in a post-apocalyptic world where the other robots have stopped moving. He explores the abandoned city and surrounding locations to discover what happened and whether anyone survived.
The game combines third-person platforming with exploration, simple puzzles, and minigames. Canny jumps across obstacles, collects gems and hidden items, throws objects to interact with the environment, and fights enemies and bosses.
The adventure moves through six distinct locations, with gems needed to meet progress requirements. Hidden collectibles reveal more about the world and can unlock extra content.
Players who enjoy Scrap Garden often point to Canny’s charm, the story’s gentle tone, the music, and the varied settings, as well as its accessible platforming. Other reviews find the puzzles and combat too simple, and some report frustrating camera, control, or technical problems. Several also describe the adventure as short.
