The Developer Says...

Every darling has a story. Every story has a price.

MY TOXIC DARLING is a first-person co-op psychological horror set in a sealed facility. Two of you drive one body through the dark. The strangers seated in these rooms all want to talk - and the things that stopped talking are already moving toward the noise you just made. You have until midnight.

Sit down, listen to what they did, and choose your words. Every answer is being marked, and what you become to them - an ally, a stranger, or an enemy - decides whether a door opens or something starts hunting you.

One of you moves. One of you looks. You are the same person, so a mistake in one pair of hands is a mistake in both. Some answers you take in turns, and you will not always agree.

A bell marks every hour you waste. When the last one rings the fog comes up through the floor - and it never comes in alone.

Not everything down here wants to be asked a question. Some of it just walks toward the sound you made. Telling the difference is the whole job.

Three keys. One gate. Who you have to win over, and what you have to take them from, is different every single night.

■ WHAT'S IN THE DARK

  • Two-player online co-op - one shared body, split controls, in-game proximity voice chat
  • Sit-down interrogations - every answer moves a hidden score
  • A procedurally generated facility - no two nights are laid out the same
  • A real clock, a rising fog, and a session that ends either way
  • Things that talk, and things that only follow
  • Forty minutes until midnight - solo, as a couple, or in teams
  • New strangers every night - and the answers never sit in the same place twice
  • Full interface and subtitles - English, Korean, Japanese, Simplified/Traditional Chinese, Russian, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil/Portugal)

Get out before midnight. If you don't - they're still keeping score.

Contains flashing lights, sudden loud noises and depictions of violence.
