Rafting Factory

From the Devs

【Drift Factory】is an open-world, automated construction simulation game set in the vast ocean. The game offers a zero-to-zero experience of building an industrial empire at sea, providing players with an immersive journey of free creation, strategic planning, and hardcore character development.

Game Story and Background

On the boundless ocean, without land or any foothold, the entire sea holds unknown dangers and limitless development potential. Players drift alone on the vast ocean, with only a small, rudimentary floating platform as their sole foundation. In this perilous maritime world, there are no ready-made industrial systems or survival resources; all development, construction, and breakthroughs must be achieved through hands-on exploration. Starting from your tiny floating platform, you will withstand the unknown risks of the ocean, overcome resource scarcity, and gradually build a complete industrial system. From scratch, you will create your own maritime industrial empire, ultimately unlocking interstellar travel technology, building your own starship, traversing the deep sea and outer space, heading to Mars, and completing the ultimate transformation from sea survival to interstellar exploration.

Core Gameplay and Mechanics

The game revolves around four core gameplay elements: expanding offshore platforms, resource gathering, technology research, and building automated production lines. Players start with only a basic floating platform and simple tools, manually collecting initial resources to obtain the basic materials for survival and construction. As development progresses, players can freely expand their offshore platforms, organize construction areas, plan industrial layouts, and build a comprehensive conveyor belt logistics network connecting the entire process of mining, processing, synthesis, and production. The game features a complete technology unlocking system and automated production logic, allowing players to design their own production line layouts, optimize logistics routes, and integrate production processes, completely freeing players from manual operation and enabling fully automated resource mining, processing, storage, and production. This tests players' spatial planning abilities, resource management skills, and industrial layout strategies.

The game employs a unique mechanism design throughout, featuring modular platform construction, free-form logistics networking, and tiered technology unlocking. It abandons fixed production line templates, allowing players to completely customize their industrial production systems. By combining different technologies and equipment, players can create a unique offshore factory operation mode, making each construction plan a completely new experience and greatly enhancing the game's freedom and creativity.

Game Objectives and Challenges

The core gameplay objectives are clearly progressive: starting with basic maritime survival, resource gathering, and stabilizing floating platforms, players gradually progress through technological research, factory expansion, automation system construction, and the establishment of production lines for all types of resources. Ultimately, they conquer advanced aerospace technology, build their own starship, and unlock the ultimate ending of Mars exploration. The game features tiered challenges: the early game focuses on resource scarcity and platform stability; the mid-game tests industrial layout optimization and efficient production line operation; and the late game presents hardcore challenges involving advanced technology unlocking, complex equipment coordination, and starship construction, catering to both beginners and advanced players.

Meanwhile, the maritime world harbors various random crises and environmental challenges. The marine environment will continuously test platforms and factory facilities. Players need to constantly optimize defense systems, upgrade production equipment, and improve resource reserves to ensure the stable operation of the industrial system while dealing with maritime risks, safeguarding the long road to industrial development and interstellar exploration.
