Aboard a sprawling wreck of ships and debris, you command either a Blood Angels Terminator squad or the Genestealers hunting them. Two campaigns follow the conflict from each side.
Battles unfold on grid-like maps of tight corridors. Spend action points to move, turn, open doors, attack, and use overwatch; careful positioning matters as the two factions bring different approaches to combat.
Cards can grant special abilities or be converted into extra action points. In the Blood Angels campaign, customize and upgrade your squad as missions progress. The game also offers online battles and a map editor for creating missions with custom objectives to share.
Reviews are mixed. Players who enjoy the game often value its close resemblance to the tabletop rules, the deliberate challenge of planning moves through narrow corridors, and its Warhammer atmosphere. Some also appreciate commanding both factions and customizing squads. Common frustrations include chance-driven combat, slow pacing, and an interface or rules that can be hard to understand.
