Earth Simulator

From the Devs

A living planet in your hands. Sculpt continents, steer winds and ocean currents, ignite the climate — then watch cities, nations, wars and whole civilizations grow on their own from the first tribes. A sandbox of climate, ecology and history in 2D and 3D.

You are not a ruler or a general. You are a force of nature.

Earth Simulator hands you an entire planet as your canvas. Raise mountain ranges and drop the seas, paint winds and ocean currents, warm and cool the climate. Then the world takes over: biomes settle by the laws of physics, rivers carve their beds, and life ignites on fertile ground.

The climate here is genuinely alive. Seasonal winds and monsoons carry moisture — windward coasts drown in rain while deserts sprawl in the rain shadow behind the mountains. Ocean currents warm some shores and freeze others. Reroute a current and a blooming coast turns to tundra, its people fleeing the advancing cold. Here, wind and water truly decide the fate of nations.

And those nations are a drama of their own. A handful of people grow into villages, cities and empires. They advance through technology, march from tribal life to the space age, build fleets, found overseas colonies, forge alliances and wage war. Famine and drought drive climate refugees, mighty empires fracture, and at the bitter end the most desperate reach for nuclear weapons.

Do you want order from chaos — or chaos just for fun? Both are yours.

KEY FEATURES:

• A LIVING CLIMATE. A real budget model: evaporation → wind-borne moisture → rainfall. Monsoons, rain shadows, ocean currents, ice sheets and the greenhouse effect — everything affects everything.

• CLIMATE DECIDES DESTINIES. Shift the winds or a current and watch nations migrate, famine strike, and empires rise and fall.

• FROM TRIBES TO THE STARS. Civilizations advance through six eras on their own: technology, economy, urbanization, diplomacy, wars, fleets, colonies.

• 2D AND 3D. An atlas map with animated winds and currents — or a full 3D world with era-based buildings, ships and traffic.

• MISSILES AND NUKES. A dedicated player tool and a fearsome AI "last resort." Spectacular blasts, radioactive fallout and nuclear winter.

• 6 SCENARIOS + SANDBOX. The Ice Age Challenge, the Great Flood, the Desert World and more goal-driven trials. Or total freedom with no rules.

• 23 STEAM ACHIEVEMENTS.

• RICH NATION & CITY PANELS: flags, growth charts, diplomacy, economy, mini-maps.

• TWO LANGUAGES: Russian and English, auto-detected on first launch.

There are no "correct" answers. Just you, the planet, and the consequences.
