Remember when shooters trusted you? No regenerating cover-crouching. No cutscene every two minutes. Just you, a shotgun, a locked door, and a colored skull key hidden somewhere behind an army of things that want you dead. Epic soundtrack!

RIFTFALL is a love letter to the golden age — DOOM, Quake, Unreal Tournament, Ultrakill, Duke Nukem 3D — rebuilt with modern speed and zero modern nonsense. Sprint is your resting state. Double jump is your religion. Barrels explode in chains, heavy enemies burst into bouncing gibs, and when you rip through three enemies in a second, your squad calls out the MONSTER KILL like it's 1999.

No loot boxes. No paywalls. No battle pass. No crafting menus. No in-game purchases. 

AN ARSENAL WITH A SECOND OPINION

Six heavy weapons. Every single one has a devastating alternate fire.

• BREACHER — a 12-pellet pump shotgun. Alt-fire: INFERNO RAM, a fan of superheated beams and shockwaves that breaks entire packs and physically hurls them backward.

• VULCAN — a spinning-barrel minigun that never asks questions. Alt-fire: ARC GRENADE, a bouncing explosive for whatever's hiding around the corner.

• RIFT ROCKET — splash damage the old-school way. Alt-fire: VORTEX SALVO, a full multi-rocket barrage.

• ARC RAIL — a piercing railgun with INFINITE CHARGE. Alt-fire: SINGULARITY LANCE — skewer four enemies in a line, then detonate a singularity that chain-arcs to seven more.

• RIFT SNIPER — a scoped anti-materiel rifle with wheel-zoom optics. One shot, one crater.

• FLAMETHROWER — a roaring wall of fire that overheats if you get greedy. Alt-fire: NAPALM BOMB — lob a fuel canister and turn the floor itself into a burning kill zone.

• ENERGY SWORD with a GRAPPLE — when they get close enough, hit them into next week. Get over here!

And when it all goes sideways: COMBAT DASH with invulnerability frames. Dodge through the fireball. Feel amazing about it.

20 HANDCRAFTED BOSS ARENAS. EVERY ONE A PUZZLE WITH TEETH.

This is the heart of RIFTFALL: 20 unique ending arenas — one for every level, each with its own cinematic fly-in, its own rules, and a boss you can't just shoot in the face. You have to OUTSMART them:

• THE FROSTMAW — an ice giant healed by five glowing crystal towers. Shatter every crystal, then bury him in his own castle.

• MAGMOR THE MOLTEN — an immortal lava colossus chained above a molten lake. Break all six chains and drop his platform into the fire — while standing somewhere safer.

• THE MEGABRAIN — a giant cyber brain behind an impenetrable firewall, and the only boss in the game that TALKS. Hack four terminals in order while his drones hunt you — then enjoy his frustration.

• THE MIRROR WRAITH — a ghost fed by eight ancient mirrors in a haunted manor. Destroy the crystals above every mirror and watch his reflection crack.

• THE HARBINGER — a fifteen-meter alien colossus on Mars whose only weak point is the crystal on his head — shielded on a timer. Wait for the window. Make it count.

• THE STORM KRAKEN — climb a lighthouse in a raging storm, override the lamp, and turn the LIGHT ITSELF into a weapon that grips and burns him.

• THE CASTLE DRAGON — bullets bounce off. Man the catapults on the castle wall while knights, archers, skeletons and fire-bats wage a full three-way battle in the valley below.

• THE HEADLESS RIDER — a running gunfight across the roof of a moving steam train, wagon by wagon, ending in a ground duel with something even bigger.

• THE NEON COLOSSUS — the arena IS the boss: climb a walking titan, break its seals, overload its core, and escape through the rift as it falls apart beneath your feet.

• CAPTAIN COGBURN — a pirate bay brawl against a jet-boosted captain, his cutlass fan, and his deployable flame cannons.

• DUNE MAW — a sand worm the size of a cathedral that only surfaces when it wants to eat you. That's your window too.

...plus the pyramid, the shark abyss, the colosseum, the skyhold, the neon district, the cavern, and the endgame arena waiting at the very bottom of the campaign. Struggling? Your squad will radio you hints — some helpful, some suggesting you call 911.

60+ ENEMY TYPES. EVERY ONE FIGHTS DIRTY.

Enemies patrol before they spot you, dodge, dig, deploy, and swarm — no frozen rooms full of target dummies.

• Crawler swarms and diving bats that punish standing still

• Holograms that teleport mid-fight, Burrowers that tunnel under the floor and erupt at your feet

• Hoppers that dodge-roll away from your rockets — switch weapons or eat the grenade

• Field Engineers that fall back and deploy sentry turrets while you're busy

• Rotary Gunners, Armored Titans, blade-dashing Reavers, acid-lobbing Spitters

• Arena specialists: evil snowmen, skeleton cowboys, laser-packing aliens, glowing UFO drones, teleporting neon robots, ghost skeletons and fire-bats

• The HIVEMIND — a floating brain mothership that pours drones out of six ports until you kill it

• The JUGGERNAUT — a walking wall of armor that always goes out in pieces

And then the ground shakes: GIANT ROBOT SPIDERS, TOWERING TRIPOD WALKERS and COLOSSAL DESERT SAND WORMS — building-sized machines that turn whole levels into boss arenas.

BOSSES WITH NAMES YOU'LL REMEMBER

Every level ends in a boss fight at the Rift Gate. The milestones you won't forget:

• IRON REVENANT — siege volleys and ground-slams in the ruins of DEAD CITY

• OCULUS PRIME — an orbiting nightmare deep in the GREEN INFERNO jungle

• SKY PIERCER and NEON HARVESTER — tripod colossi stalking the wasteland and the neon skyline

• FROST STRIDER and CITY REAPER — the ice and the city belong to them now

• RIFTFALL DEVOURER — the final boss. Bring everything.

Late-game bosses shift phases — the Rift Tyrant style hits 48% health, announces RIFT PHASE, and comes at you faster and meaner.

20 LEVELS. 6 BIOMES. SKULL KEYS.

A full single-player campaign from EMBER GATE to RIFTFALL PRIME: burning citadels, frozen vaults, neon war zones, dead wastelands, jungle hells, dune seas — and side trips to a haunted manor, a Mars colony, a storm-wrecked lighthouse and a wild-west canyon. Every level is six sectors of forward pressure — find the RED, BLUE and YELLOW SKULL KEYS, open the gates, kill the boss, reach the Rift Gate, extract.

Each level hides a landmark set-piece: a rocket launch silo, a crystal cavern, a UFO discovery lab, a giant pyramid, an arcing server room, an alien core. Moving platforms, lava crossings and elevators keep your double jump honest. Layouts are seeded and procedural — replays never feel identical, and hidden DROP CREDITS reward players who check behind the crates. Smash the scenery while you're at it — cryo capsules, snowman statues, cactuses, windmills and market stalls all come apart in real physics.

YOUR SQUAD HAS YOUR BACK (AND JOKES)

Deploy up to four AI marines — ROOK (rifle), VIPER (scatter), HEX (minigun) and NOVA (grenadier). They hold formation, call out threats by direction, celebrate your multi-kills, and cover you when it goes wrong. When one goes down, hold E and drag them back into the fight. Drop below 30% health and reinforcements HALO-drop in by parachute.

Over 500 fully voiced radio lines — tactical chatter, boss warnings, arena hints, last stands, idle banter, genuinely terrible dad jokes, and death lines like "I will be back. Terms and conditions apply."

RAGE MODE & BULLET TIME SLOW MO!

Low health isn't a death sentence — it's a damage bonus. Drop below 30% and RAGE MODE ignites, scaling your damage up to 1.75× the closer you get to death. The classics taught us: the correct response to almost dying is killing faster. Bullet time on low health!
