We Love It's Guide to…

DartPotato

You start as a potato. The utensils have unionized and they want you diced. DartPotato is a top-down roguelike where you dash, dodge, and dart your way through 50 cities as five different food types each with three different classes, building absurd loadouts to avoid becoming dinner.

The Developer Says...

THE UTENSILS HAVE TURNED. WHO KNOWS WHY. THEY JUST HAVE.

One day the forks were fine. Then the whisks got weird. Eventually the knives started to stare a bit too long. Now the entire kitchen wants you peeled, diced, mashed, or fried, and honestly at this point nobody remembers who started it. You're just here to survive it as a potato. Or a chicken. Or a steak. Look, we didn't overthink the lore either.

DartPotato is a fast, ridiculous action roguelike where you throw darts and occasionally dash through a rolling pin's aggro range. Build a run out of a growing pile of stacking upgrades — Ricochet, Explosive Impact, an array of rouge Orbiting Utensils that just vibe near you and attack enemies — before THE CHEF shows up to finish what the forks started.

FEATURES

  • Play as 5 different foods (Potato, Pork, Pie, Chicken, Beef), each in 3 "cuts" that fight completely differently — try clearing a city Nimble, then again as the Tank, just to see how much worse your life gets

  • 50 cities. Throw down in Peeladelphia, Tottsdale, Jacksongrill, Shangpie,  Chickago, Searacuse, and many more! Each one has its own opinions about how it wants to prepare you (swarm! fire! elite rush! a mallet with a vendetta!)

  • Hit up the Pantry where you can trade in your gathered resources for upgrades, reroll, hoard your favorite pick for when you have the goods, and slowly turn food into an unstoppable war crime

  • Get your name on the leaderboards for biggest lifetime score, highest wave conquered, and longest chain

  • 18 achievements, including one for tapping into your inner spuddy sense

  • Gamepad support, because hours of WASD just gets tiring

Hold the counter. Or wind up as dinner. There is no third option.
