Sakura: The Eternal Night

From the Devs

Game Description

In the eternal night where cherry blossoms never fall, find the light that belongs to you.

Tokoyo no Sakura is a visual novel about loss, encounter, and farewell. Set in a world where virtual reality and reality intertwine, you will meet a cast of unforgettable characters and uncover a truth that has been forgotten for years.

Story

The story takes place in Japan after the Third World War. To restore the ancient capital of Kyoto, which was destroyed by war, a virtual reality project called "Tokoyo no Sakura" was launched — a perfect replica of the ancient city, rebuilt on the far side of the moon, in an eternal night.

You play as Haruka Watanabe, a young man haunted by his past and chosen as a tester for the game. During an accident, you become trapped in a "Closed Domain" within the virtual world, where you meet a mysterious shrine maiden named Inori Sakuraba.

She is gentle, enigmatic, and seems to know everything — except for her own past. Her arrival will change the course of your life forever.
