Virtual Plant

From the Devs

About This Game

对，英文受众那里就不该写“背英语单词”。更自然的是把这个功能写成 学外语 / 记术语 / 背知识点，比如西班牙语、日语、中文，或者课程里的专业词汇。

英文版可以改成这样：

It sits quietly in the corner of your desktop and occasionally pops up with a little message.

Sometimes, it gives you a bit of motivation:

“Don’t wait until you feel ready. Just start.”
“It’s okay to go slow. Just keep going.”
“You’ve got this today.”
“You don’t have to become amazing overnight. One small step is enough.”
“Just because you can’t see the results yet doesn’t mean your effort is wasted.”

Sometimes, it gives you a reminder:

“3 PM — don’t forget to submit your assignment.”
“8 PM — time for a quick review.”
“Exam tomorrow. Try not to stay up too late tonight.”
“You really can’t put that paper off any longer.”
“Time to stand up, stretch, and drink some water.”

You can write your own messages and decide when they appear.

So it can be both your desktop motivation buddy and a gentle reminder assistant that stays out of your way.

And you can also use it to study and memorize things.

Learning a new language? Put in some vocabulary:

こんにちは — Hello
gracias — Thank you
你好 — Hello
bonjour — Hello

Or use it for key terms, formulas, definitions, exam notes, or anything you’re trying to remember.

If you have a lot of content, you can simply import a TXT file.

Vocabulary lists, study notes, motivational quotes, daily plans, and reminders can all be imported at once and shown little by little throughout the day.

There are no complicated check-ins, streaks, or daily tasks.

It’s simply a small companion on your desktop:

When you’re tired, it gives you a little encouragement.
When you’re afraid you’ll forget something, it reminds you.
When you’re studying, it helps you review a little at a time.

Its leaves gently sway, the window can be moved anywhere, and it can quietly stay in the corner of your screen.

While you study, it’s there.
While you write your paper, it’s there.
While you review for an exam, it’s there too. 🌱

A digital plant that never withers.

And every now and then, it reminds you:

“You can still take one more step forward today.”

How to Use

• Hold the left mouse button and drag the plant to move it.

• Right-click the plant to open the settings panel.

• Use the settings panel to edit or import speech bubble messages, adjust reminder intervals, set a daily alarm, change the language, and configure screensaver mode.

• Click “Save Settings” to apply your changes.

• Use the “—” and “×” buttons beside the plant to minimize or exit the application.

Virtual Plant does not demand constant attention or ask you to complete complicated daily tasks. It simply stays alive in a corner of your screen and speaks the words you have chosen when the time is right.

It does not pretend to have feelings, and it does not pretend to understand you better than you understand yourself.

You choose the words. It quietly says them back to you.
