A hockey ecosystem simulator built for people who want to analyse a forever-evolving sports system. Dive into detailed player, team, prospect and draft data, draft young prospects, make trades with teams that value assets dynamically, and skip anything you don't care about, like matches or trading. Sim a full ice hockey season in under a minute and analyse the results, then repeat the process and watch your franchise evolve over decades. You decide what matters and how deep you want to go.

All systems are connected. Player development affects the quality of a franchise, which influences where they draft, how they approach trades, and how they build for the future.

Every franchise has a pipeline of leagues, so you're not restricted to analyzing a single league. Follow a late-round draft steal as they climb through the system and eventually reach the top league, or watch a first-round pick under-develop and settle into a minor pro career.

Player and goalie development follow different, realistic curves. Goalies generally develop later and often begin their careers with lower ratings, creating a different path to the top.

Analyse. Simulate. Repeat.

The simulation runs at your pace. Analyse individual players, compare franchises, dig through draft classes, follow prospects through the leagues, or skip years at a time and see what happens.

There is no need to sit through every match or trade. If you want to know what happened, analyse it. If you don't, skip it.

PyPuck focuses on the interesting aspects of sports GM games: drafting, player development, regular seasons and playoffs, rebuilds, and contention windows, while removing the boring micromanagement like contract negotiations. This lets you focus on what matters: asset management, drafting, trading, and analyzing.

The unique thing about PyPuck is that there is no single way to play. Simulate until your aging roster forces you into a rebuild. Simulate dozens of seasons ahead and analyse the careers of players across the hockey ecosystem. Create yourself as a prospect, get drafted, develop through the leagues, and try to make the show.
