The Disney Afternoon Collection

This collection brings together six games based on Disney Afternoon characters: DuckTales and DuckTales 2, Chip ’n Dale Rescue Rangers and its sequel, Darkwing Duck, and TaleSpin. Players explore as Scrooge McDuck, team up as Chip and Dale, fight crime as Darkwing Duck, or pilot Baloo’s plane.

The games offer distinct styles of 2D action. Scrooge uses his cane to bounce and reach areas, while Chip and Dale pick up and throw objects to deal with enemies, with local co-op available. Darkwing Duck combines platforming and combat, and TaleSpin is a side-scrolling shooter.

Alongside the original games, the collection adds rewind and save features, visual filters, Time Attack and Boss Rush modes, and online leaderboards. An in-game museum includes items such as concept art and music from the games.

Players who enjoy the collection often value revisiting these classic games, with nostalgia especially prominent, and appreciate that the different titles offer varied styles of play. Reviewers frequently mention rewind as a useful way to handle challenging sections, and some praise the museum materials and music. A recurring complaint is that this edition does not include Goof Troop and Bonkers, which reviewers say are available in another version; opinions also differ on individual games, with TaleSpin and Darkwing Duck drawing criticism from some players.
