After a century-long sleep, elder vampire Phyre awakens in modern Seattle with the voice of Fabien, a vampire detective, in their Blood. The two perspectives guide a return to a cold case from a hundred years earlier, whose mystery threatens both mortal and vampire society.
Explore Seattle on foot and across rooftops, investigate leads, and hunt mortals to satisfy Hunger and restore health or powers. Encounters can involve stealth, direct combat, vampire Disciplines, and efforts to avoid exposing your nature and breaking the Masquerade.
Conversations with Seattle's vampire Court and its factions present dialogue choices and relationship reactions. Choosing a clan sets Phyre's starting abilities; progression uses ability points and specific blood types to unlock additional Disciplines, including powers from other clans.
Reviews are largely critical, but some players enjoy the central mystery and Fabien's detective storyline, along with the voice performances, snowy Seattle atmosphere, rooftop movement, and vampire powers. Positive impressions often come with reservations: players frequently describe the role-playing and choice systems as limited, the side activities and combat as repetitive, and the story's later sections or ending as rushed.
