Sixteen students are kidnapped and imprisoned inside a school, where a deadly game turns murder investigations into a fight to survive. The story follows a student trying to uncover the truth behind each case.
Between cases, explore the school and spend time with classmates. When a murder occurs, investigate the scene, gather clues, and work out how it happened and who was responsible.
Class trials turn those findings into debates: present evidence, challenge contradictions, and sometimes use lies or quick reactions to guide the discussion. Trial minigames add variety as the story progresses through successive cases.
Players are divided over the ending: some praise its bold, thought-provoking direction, while others feel it undermines the story and their investment in the characters. Reviews also highlight the murder cases, trial debates, cast, music, and presentation, while some criticize lengthy sections, minigames, and awkward keyboard-and-mouse controls.
