Raiden V is a vertical-scrolling shoot 'em up set amid a battle for Earth's future. You pilot a fighter ship through missions filled with enemy craft, dense projectile patterns, and large bosses. Choose among three ships with different defense, mobility, and sub-weapons. A health bar tracks damage instead of a lives system, while Cheer Attack temporarily boosts your sub-weapons to help clear enemies. Story Mode's plot changes according to your performance, with voiced character dialogue during missions. Boss Mission offers fights under special conditions and leaderboard competition; you can also unlock gallery art, play Director's Cut-exclusive levels, and team up in offline two-player co-op.

Pilot one of three fighter ships through a vertical bullet-hell campaign, choosing weapons and dodging enemy fire and bosses.
