The Invisible Hours is a complex murder mystery in VR, in which players freely explore an intricate web of interwoven stories within a sprawling mansion. This is not a game. This is not a movie. This is a piece of immersive theatre with many tangled threads.

After guests arrive at Nikola Tesla’s isolated mansion laboratory, they find the inventor dead. You take the role of an invisible observer investigating the murder among the people gathered there, including a detective, an actress, a butler, and rival inventor Thomas Edison.
Move freely through the mansion to follow any guest without being seen, watch their interactions, and search rooms for clues. The experience can be played with or without a VR headset.
The story unfolds across four acts, with controls to move through events and revisit them from different characters’ perspectives. By comparing what each person does and discovering hidden details, you can piece together the mystery and the guests’ interwoven stories.
Several supplied reviewers praise the interwoven mystery, story, and cast, and enjoy reconstructing events by following different characters and examining clues. Some find the observer-style presentation immersive, while others say its interaction is limited. A few report VR startup or audio problems, and one reviewer describes VR controls as less comfortable than playing without a headset.
