When war reaches the Kingdom of Cherrystone, young Queen Mercia flees and seeks allies across a world divided among four factions. The campaign follows her journey through story scenes and tactical battles.
On grid-based maps, command infantry and other units, capture towns and buildings, and spend the income they generate to recruit troops. Unit matchups, terrain, positioning, and special critical-hit conditions shape each turn; commanders can unleash a unique Groove ability when its meter fills.
Alongside the campaign, Arcade mode strings together fights, Puzzle mode challenges you to win in one turn, and multiplayer supports competitive and cooperative battles. In-game editors let you create maps, cutscenes, and campaigns, and share or play community-made content.

A full free expansion is available for Wargroove! Team up and lead the Outlaw faction to strategic victory, with new criminal Commanders in Wargroove: Double Trouble! Designed with co-op play in mind, this expansion adds a new story campaign that introduces Outlaw Commanders; the mighty Wulfar, troublemaker twins Errol and Orla, as well as the maleficent Vesper.
