Drain Enemies for Ichor
In the face of certain death, we rise. Team up and embark on a journey to the ends of hell to unlock your past and escape your living nightmare in CODE VEIN.
Developed by Bandai Namco Studios · Published by Bandai Namco Entertainment

You play as a Revenant, a vampire-like being who wakes in a devastated world with no memory of the past. Travel with allies, uncover memories, and face the Lost—creatures that threaten the remaining Revenants.
Fight with weapons such as swords, axes, spears, and bayonets, using dodges, blocks, and attacks to take on enemies. Blood Codes act as changeable classes that alter your stats and provide Gifts; Blood Veils let you drain enemies to gain Ichor for those abilities. You can mix learned skills across builds.
Explore connected dungeon areas, battle enemies and bosses, and find gear and memory fragments as you progress. Level up and upgrade equipment, choose an AI companion or play solo, and team up with a friend in co-op.
Players who enjoy CODE VEIN often point to its detailed character creator and the freedom to change builds, which lets them try different combat styles without restarting. Some also value the AI partners for their support in fights, and praise the character-focused story, gothic anime atmosphere, and soundtrack. These strengths sit alongside recurring complaints about confusing maps and rough combat or technical issues.
