Descenders is a downhill mountain-biking game where you control a rider over steep trails, jumps, and obstacles. Steering, braking, and adjusting your rider in the air shape how you take corners, perform tricks, and land.
Career runs move through several locations with procedurally generated trail sections and challenges. You have a limited number of lives to reach the finish, so a crash can put a run at risk; mutators add abilities that can affect each attempt.
Outside career, you can ride bike parks, take on bonus challenges, and play online, including races against other players' ghosts. Rep and challenges provide progression toward rider and bike cosmetics, while teams and modded maps offer more ways to customize your riding.
In the supplied reviews, players often enjoy the bike handling, sense of speed, big jumps, and the satisfaction of landing tricks. Many appreciate the variety and replayability of generated trails, while some also value the option to relax and cruise. Others find the learning curve or career runs frustrating, and controller input problems are a recurring complaint in this sample.
From the developers of Action Henk, Descenders is a fast-paced extreme downhill biking game that's easy to pick up, but difficult to master.

| Multiplayer | Descenders supports single-player and online multiplayer. Steam lists Online PvP, and the descriptions and reviews indicate shared online lobbies, public and private/password-protected lobbies, team-based competition via Rep, and the ability to ride with friends or random players. Players appear to be non-colliding ghosts in sessions. Multiplayer exists in freeride, races, and general lobby riding, but several reviews report lobby/joining limitations and some progression limits in multiplayer. |
| Multiplayer & mods | Mod support is present. Reviews conflict on multiplayer use: some say custom/community maps are playable online with friends and strangers, while another says custom maps are solo-only. Multiplayer mod support is therefore unclear. |
