After a world-ending catastrophe, you lead a settlement of survivors in a harsh wasteland. Keep the colony functioning as it grows, with its future shaped by the choices you make during events.
Build and manage homes, farms, workshops, and services while balancing supplies such as food, water, power, and materials. Natural disasters and other threats test the settlement, while defenses help protect it from bandits and wildlife.
Research unlocks new buildings and improvements, and specialists can explore a procedurally generated world to scavenge, encounter rival colonies, trade, and establish resource-gathering outposts. Progress also advances a multi-stage bunker project intended to shelter the survivors.
Players who enjoy the game often praise the colony-building and resource-management loop, with specialist expeditions adding another layer of goals beyond the settlement.
