Cube Racer is a round based multiplayer racing game with cubes. Every round, all players race against each other to the finish line. Before every round, the players get to build one or more obstacles on the map. In the next round, all players have to pass all the obstacles, which have been built yet.

Cube Racer is a round-based racing game where players control cubes and compete to reach the finish line. Players score through their race results, with the goal of finishing with the most points.
Between rounds, players add obstacles to the course. Those hazards—and any boosters or other objects placed—remain for later races, so everyone faces the changing track. Players earn credits through performance, then use them to unlock and upgrade obstacles and choose which ones to bring into a game.
Solo play offers races on maps with predefined obstacles, where players can try to improve their times. A map editor lets players create custom tracks, play them, and share or download maps through Steam Workshop. The game also supports online and local multiplayer.
Some players enjoy Cube Racer as a quick, easy-to-pick-up challenge, praising its fast reflex races and the fun of playing with friends. A few appreciate the changing tracks created by player-placed obstacles. Other substantive reviews describe the experience as repetitive or lacking depth, and reports about online play are mixed; many supplied reviews are jokes or discuss unrelated games.
