We Love It's Guide to…

RAD

Humanity has survived two apocalypses, and a teenage protagonist ventures into the radioactive Fallow to face the creatures there. Each journey risks further exposure to toxins that change the protagonist's body. Fight through dangerous areas with a trusty bat and melee attacks, dodging enemies and hazards as you push toward the next stage. The zones and the abilities gained during a run can vary. Radiation brings strange mutations that grant new powers and alter how you fight. When a run ends, you start again; reviews describe unlocking items and mutations and banking tapes to carry some progress into future runs.

As a teen in a twice-ruined world, wield a bat, fight through shifting radioactive zones, and gain mutations each run.
