You find yourself alone in a large, empty house decorated for Christmas, with an unwelcome guest nearby. As strange events unfold, you explore the house to learn why you are there and what is hidden within it.
Search rooms for keys, clues, and hidden messages. Examine your surroundings, follow leads, and solve puzzles involving items and codes to make progress through the house.
Finding all the clues and solving the puzzles can reveal more of the house’s secrets and lead to a different ending. The story also includes interactions through a computer.
Players who enjoy the game often point to its uneasy Christmas-house atmosphere, the contrast between festive decorations and isolation, and the appeal of searching for clues and solving puzzles. Some also like uncovering another ending. Other reviews describe the experience as very short, the scares as mild or predictable, and the controls as awkward.
