Bad Dream: Fever is a point-and-click adventure built around examining scenes, interacting with objects, collecting items, and solving puzzles. Items become available when the story calls for them, and using them on relevant objects is handled through clicks.
Progress follows a largely linear story through surreal locations. As you investigate, the narrative takes a self-aware turn that touches on game creation and the creator’s struggles with their work.
Players who enjoy the game often point to its hand-drawn look, eerie atmosphere, and story, especially its surprising, self-aware turns. Some also praise the distinctive sounds when clicking on objects and enjoy the puzzle-solving, though other reviewers find the puzzles obscure and the progression too rigid.
