In 1898, Thomas Evans enters the isolated Sker Hotel after receiving a plea from Elisabeth, his beloved. He must explore the hotel and its surroundings to uncover the mystery behind the Quiet Ones and the family history tied to the estate.
The first-person gameplay centers on stealth and avoidance rather than ordinary combat. The enemies are blind and track sound, so you move carefully, hold your breath to avoid detection or coughing, and use a limited sound device to briefly stun threats.
Search rooms for keys and other useful items, solve puzzles to open routes, and piece together the story through notes and recordings. After the main story, challenge missions let you attempt to escape with weapons.
