Fight on Hex Grids
Rising Lords is a medieval turn-based strategy game with card and board game elements. Send your serfs to fight and die in your name... or let them prosper, and use them to your advantage!
Developed by Argonwood · Published by Deck13, WhisperGames

You rule a medieval domain, directing serfs and managing provinces as you pursue expansion or defend your lands. The campaign follows Tankred and has three possible endings.
Keep villages functioning by assigning workers, gathering resources, setting taxes and rations, and building up towns and defenses. These choices affect the people and the supplies available to raise and maintain an army.
When conflict breaks out, command troops in turn-based battles on a grid, using terrain, unit matchups, morale, and cards to shape the fight. Beyond the campaign, the game offers scenarios, special modes, multiplayer for up to four players, and tools to create maps and story missions.
In the supplied reviews, players who enjoy Rising Lords point to its medieval setting and art style, straightforward domain management, and turn-based hex battles, with some appreciating the cards as an extra tactical layer. A few also value the campaign or its nostalgic strategy feel. Other reviewers criticize the campaign’s tight, linear objectives, unclear systems, interface, bugs, and performance, so experiences in this sample are mixed.
