You take the role of a scientist searching for extraterrestrial signals from a radio observatory. Scan the sky for anomalies, then use the observatory’s controls to point large antennas toward signal coordinates.
Tune frequencies to detect signals, download their raw data, and decode it. Unique signals are stored in a database; some contain story details about explorers in space.
Earn credits from downloaded data and spend them on system upgrades. Maintain the observatory’s electrical supply by managing energy distribution, cleaning solar panels, and calibrating antennas; weather and the day-night cycle affect system operations.
Players who enjoy the game often point to its distinctive signal-hunting premise and its quiet, eerie atmosphere, with some describing the routine as relaxing or meditative. Others find the work repetitive or slow, and reviews also mention a steep learning curve, unclear controls, and limited content.
