Developed by Eggnut · Published by Raw Fury

You play Howard Lotor, a raccoon private investigator in a dystopian Vancouver inhabited by anthropomorphic animals. A case draws him into an investigation that reaches beyond his usual work.
Explore city locations, speak with residents, examine clues, and solve a small number of puzzles. The game is largely dialogue-driven, with occasional stealth or other interactive sequences.
The chapter-based story follows a mostly linear path. Dialogue choices let you express Howard's outlook and make connections, while layered pixel art, lighting, rain, and fog shape the city's look.
Players who enjoy Tails Noir often praise its detailed pixel art, rain-soaked noir atmosphere, soundtrack, and character dialogue. The opening investigation and setting draw many players in, while some also enjoy the story's later turn. A recurring point of disappointment is that the narrative shifts direction and ends without resolving questions raised earlier; players also describe the investigation and dialogue choices as having limited impact.
