FIGHTING EX LAYER is a one-on-one 2D fighter featuring 15 returning characters from Arika’s EX series. Players choose a fighter and face opponents in direct, round-based combat.
Fights center on attacks, special moves, and combos. Before a match, players select a Gougi Deck containing five abilities; each ability activates when its listed condition is met during the fight, changing what the character can do.
Players can use Classic inputs or Progressive controls, which simplify command inputs. Arcade, Training, and Expert modes offer solo play, while local and online Versus modes let players fight other people.
