Iron Danger is a tactical combat puzzler with a unique time manipulation mechanic. A never before seen combination that blends the tactical depth of turn-based games with the exciting action of real-time games.

You play as Kipuna, a village girl granted power over time, drawn into a war between the city of Kalevala and an invading northern army. The story unfolds in a steampunk fantasy world inspired by Finnish folklore.
Combat pairs real-time action with tactical planning. You control a party of two, pause to choose actions, and rewind up to five seconds to revise your approach or avoid an attack. Each encounter asks you to coordinate both characters against enemies.
Skills and interactive surroundings give you different ways to handle fights, including using hazards to damage enemies. Progression follows the story, with skill upgrades between missions rather than a focus on grinding for levels or equipment.
Players who enjoy Iron Danger often point to its time-rewind combat as a fresh way to plan and refine tactical encounters, and some praise the voice acting, characters, and visual world. Others find that the rewind-heavy fights become slow or tedious, with control and pathfinding problems getting in the way. Opinions on the story are also mixed, with some players criticizing its writing or ending.
