Wrench is a mechanic simulator where players prepare and maintain race cars. The parts in Wrench are the most detailed of any game in the genre. Extreme attention has been paid to even the smallest components, including fasteners which are accurate to the thread pitch and install torque.

Wrench puts you in the role of a motorsports mechanic preparing and maintaining cars. The game offers a hatchback streetcar and two licensed kit-car chassis.
Use hand tools to take cars apart, diagnose and repair components, and reassemble them. Engine work involves handling individual parts and fasteners; there is no automated inventory, so you keep track of removed pieces and organize them with storage tools.
The garage can be customized with different workbenches, flooring, and storage. The described beta is sandbox-based rather than built around structured progression, and supports co-op on desktop and in VR.
Players who enjoy Wrench often praise its hands-on engine assembly, detailed components, and realistic tool use, saying the process can be satisfying and help them understand car mechanics. Some also value working on cars in VR. Reviews are divided about the experience across versions: many describe the current sandbox as short on goals, while others recommend the older career mode for its repair jobs and progression.
