Chronos: Before the Ashes

You play a young hero who enters a mysterious labyrinth to defeat the dragon threatening their homeland. The focused adventure also serves as a prequel to the Remnant games.

Explore connected areas, search for routes and useful items, and solve environmental puzzles as you make your way through the labyrinth. Combat uses weapons and shields, with dodging, blocking, parrying, and magical powers to face enemies and bosses.

Each death advances your hero’s age by a year, affecting which attributes are strongest as you level up. Every ten years, you gain a permanent perk; weapon upgrades and magical abilities offer further ways to shape your character.

Players who enjoy the game often value its connection to the Remnant world, including lore discovered through exploration and environmental storytelling. Puzzles and the aging-on-death concept also stand out as appealing ideas.
