Explore the world map, take on missions and side quests, gather resources, and build an army from faction units and recruited neutral creatures. Battles unfold in turn-based encounters on a hex grid, where positioning and unit abilities shape the fight.

Develop heroes and units as they gain experience, and use spells, equipment, totems, and flags to influence battles. The game also includes ships and aquatic areas, boss encounters, and hot-seat and online multiplayer.
