In ORX, you defend a growing stronghold and its territory against waves of ORX. The game combines tower defense and deckbuilding with a tile-placement system: placing tiles helps form castles, roads, and other structures.
Use cards to expand your defenses and support your forces, while building an economy and matching your defenses to different enemy types. The game’s three factions approach these systems in distinct ways.
Campaigns send you across a map of regions and missions, where you can choose routes and face changing challenges. Customize and upgrade your deck, use spells and artifacts, and earn campaign-long buffs by defeating powerful leaders.
Some players enjoy ORX’s unusual blend of tile placement, deckbuilding, and tower defense, especially when planning a run and watching structures support their defenses. Reviews also praise its artwork and atmosphere, while others report frustrating bugs, unclear mechanics, and dissatisfaction with major gameplay changes.
