A mysterious door beneath the Fairy Tail guild leads to a dungeon that drains the powers of those who enter. After Natsu and Happy meet Labi, they venture inside to search for Labi’s missing friend.
Battles are turn-based and driven by magic cards for attacks, defense, and other abilities. Choose cards within each turn’s limits, build a deck from battle and exploration rewards, and play certain cards in sequence to trigger Magic Chains. Each character has a distinct set of cards and fighting style.
In solo runs, explore the dungeon, unlock skills, and strengthen a character before the lantern’s protection runs out and a boss encounter begins. Successful solo builds can be saved and brought into team dungeons with up to three characters; points earned on runs also unlock amulets for later attempts.
Players often enjoy the turn-based deckbuilding loop, experimenting with character-specific abilities, and replaying runs to try different builds. A recurring point of praise is carrying successful solo decks into team dungeons, which gives runs a sense of progression. Reviews also appreciate the character animations and series references. Some players, however, find the campaign short or the card and combo systems limited, and opinions differ on how much strategy the randomness allows.
