In 1996 Los Angeles, actress Honor Mizrahi is fired from a TV detective show, then becomes a suspect when her boss is murdered. She teams up with SCOUT, a discarded reconnaissance robot, to clear her name and investigate further cases.
Players solve nonogram puzzles, filling grids from numerical clues to reveal pixel-art evidence. Honor and SCOUT use what they uncover to question witnesses and move each investigation forward.
The story unfolds through dialogue-heavy cases in settings including TV studios, award shows, and a drag club. Optional hints are available, timed puzzle sections feature during hacking, and high case ratings can unlock bonus puzzles.
Players who enjoy nonograms often appreciate having a mystery story to accompany the puzzles, and some praise the cast, humor, and soundtrack. Others find the story or investigations less compelling, or feel the puzzle-and-dialogue cycle becomes repetitive and slows down later in the game.
