You guide four Warriors of Light on a journey to restore the power of the elemental crystals and save their world. At the start, choose four characters from six classes, each with different roles in the party.

Explore towns, a wide world, and dungeons; talk with residents for clues about where to go next. As the journey unfolds, travel by boat and airship, find equipment and magic, and face monsters and bosses in turn-based battles.

Characters grow stronger through experience and improved equipment, and their classes can advance as they progress. Magic is limited by uses for each spell level. This remaster adds options including auto-battle, encounter toggles, experience and money boosts, maps, a bestiary, and a choice of original or rearranged music.
