With the Erebonian Empire on the brink of war and instructor Rean Schwarzer missing, Class VII must regroup and join forces with heroes from across the continent. Their mission is to confront the threat facing the empire and the wider world.
Travel between locations, take on quests, explore dungeons, and fight enemies in turn-based battles. A large playable cast lets you build a party from familiar and new characters, with Orbal magic, combat orders, and giant-mech encounters adding options in battle.
Alongside the main story, pursue character bonding events and optional activities such as fishing, card games, puzzles, and the Horror Coaster. Combat also includes powerful Lost Arts and an Auto Battle option.
Players who enjoy the game often point to the emotional payoff of a long-running story, the return and interaction of characters from earlier arcs, and the chance to build teams from a large cast.
