Lloyd Bannings returns to Crossbell to join the police, but is assigned to the Special Support Section, a new team handling requests from residents. Alongside Elie, Randy, and Tio, he works to earn the public’s trust in a city caught between powerful neighbors and troubled by corruption.
Take on police requests, help people around Crossbell, and investigate cases as the story unfolds. Exploring the city and its outskirts reveals distinct districts, recurring characters, and conversations that change as events progress.
Combat is turn-based and tactical, with character skills and Arts used to overcome enemies. Customize the team’s abilities through the Orbment system, and use teamwork in battle. High-speed and skip options let players move through battles and text more quickly.
Players who enjoyed the game often highlight the SSS’s close-knit cast, the detailed city and its changing NPC stories, and the unfolding political mystery. The soundtrack and tactical combat also receive praise. Some reviewers found the opening slow or the optional content difficult to complete without missing things.
