You play as Ryder, a Pathfinder leading a crew of military-trained explorers in the Andromeda galaxy. After the expedition encounters danger, your mission is to help humanity find a new home in unfamiliar territory. Travel between planets aboard the Tempest and explore open areas on foot or in the Nomad vehicle. Scan environments, investigate alien ruins, fight hostile forces, and work to make planets more suitable for settlement. Build Ryder’s skills and combat profile, combine weapons and abilities, and craft equipment from gathered resources. Dialogue and mission decisions shape parts of the story, while conversations and quests let you get to know the crew.

As Pathfinder, lead a human expedition across hostile Andromeda, exploring planets, fighting alien forces, and seeking a home.
